2.5.1 No space between elements on iPad

On the homepage there is a combobox to select what status the user wants to filter by and a “apply filter” button. However, the close proximity of these elements can be problematic for users with mobility issues like tremors, Parkinson’s, or arthritis. They may inadvertently interact with the wrong element due to difficulties in precise finger control. This can lead to premature filter application or unintentional combobox closure, hindering users’ ability to effectively filter content.

2.5.2 Recommendation

Ensure that there is adequate distance between the combobox and the “Apply Filter” button to help prevent accidental selection. In addition, we recommend moving the “Apply filters” button to either be in line with the combobox or to be under the “Prisoner’s name” input field i.e.
